Minolta Maxxum 7D

Maxxum 7D, 2x teleconvertor, 100-300mm, 28-80mm, 35-105mm, 17-35mm, 500mm reflex, 100mm f2, 50mm f1.4

This is my Minolta Maxxum 7D which I finally got on Nov 20, 2004. It works great and has some really nice features. I can re-use all my existing Minolta lenses, but I ended up buying a 17-35mm wide zoom to compensate for the 1.5x magnification factor of the APS-C sized sensor.

The lenses arrayed here from left to right are: 2x teleconvertor, 100-300mm, 28-80mm, 35-105mm, 17-35mm (on camera), 500mm reflex, 100mm f2, and a 50mm f1.4. I also have a 90 degree 2x eyepiece adaptor which is useful with the camera on a tri-pod since I am 6 feet 6 inches tall. As well the doubling feature is very helpful when trying to manually focus.

I also have a 5600 HS(D) flash unit. This is the one purchase I am disappointed with. Not because there is problem with the unit itself, but with the fact I had to buy it. I already have a Minolta 5400 HS flash unit which works great, except it is not properly supported on newer Minolta cameras.
